I had the absolute pleasure to photograph the marriage of a woman near and dear to my heart. If you’ve been following my blog, you probably saw the Engagement Shoot of Courtney and Kyle, where I go on to explain our days of Sim Farm in the 90’s and other middle schooler escapades. We met at a Mr. Gatti’s in Abilene, Texas with our parents who were good friends. Geezus, I never thought I would be photographing her beautiful wedding with her beautiful family in Montgomery Texas more than fifteen years later. I would have made her give me all the tickets she won on the arcade games. Tough love, you know. This girl has a knack for being loved by anyone who meets her and her humor puts you at ease the moment she speaks. When I met Kyle and saw the way they interacted, I felt relaxed, excited, seeing how much he cared for her and I knew that she was in good hands. He was genuine and gentle, looking at her with pure love. I love their dynamic and think the world of this couple. There was a beautiful mind missing though, from the festivities and that is her incredible dad, Scott, who passed away when we were in college. If I could say anything to him, I’d be able to tell him that his little girl couldn’t be in a better place with this man Kyle at her side. I love you Courtney and Kyle and I would do anything for you both. Congratulations and I’m looking forward to being an aunt 🙂
